It helped me to have a technical degree in nutrition and understand the human nutrition in specific. In addition to the current government nutrition program, I also learnt about the nutrition program about lifestyle and related nutritional problem and transforming them to scale. I have not implemented them in actual program but it gave me strong base to advocate at various forums. This is very useful and need based program for working professionals (like me). The faculty’s live classes and interactions specifically were very good. I request you to improve on the module of second semester. The module of first semester was excellent in organized content, exact area (thematic) coverage and preciseness. I found somewhat lacking these things in second semester modules. I must mention, the assignments were really useful and learnable.

This course of PGDPHN has been so helpful to me to learn about nutrition and its application in the field of public health and personal health. This distance learning has given me the opportunity to pursue a PG course even though I was unable to take out my time from my job and family completely. I am even more thankful to the Program Manager for her encouragement when I had to defer not only one semester but two semesters. The change from weekly interactive sessions to fortnightly weekend session was indeed an excellent opportunity to digest the recorded lectures. This recorded lectures and reading materials will remain as my invaluable treasures. The project works and assignments were really challenging and building confidence after completion. This course has enhanced my knowledge on nutrition, planning and designing projects, implementation, monitoring, evaluation etc. But I have not been able to avail any benefit on line of promotion as our state considers only PG degrees /diplomas taken from institutions included in 1st schedule of Indian Medical Council Act 1956. I shall be happy to get relevant information on this matter.

The PGDPHN is good course for those who wants to establish his/her carrier as a public health nutritionist. It provides an ample opportunity & understanding about the concept public health & nutrition which would be helpful in further working under PHN related program and projects. The course content covers each and every aspect of public health and nutrition scenario and also facilitation by the mentors adds value on it to make it richer as learning point of view. I am extremely thankful to PHN faculty who have provides me an opportunity to appear in the learning process which enhanced my understanding on very important issues and now I am working qualitatively as public health nutritionist. As I have mentioned in earlier feedback forms (apart from this) that there is a small area of improvement about adding current development issues related with public health.

I found the course comprehensive and very helpful for professionals like us. The contents of the course and the contexts are valuable and equally relevant to the Nepalese context. The teaching methodology is also better however sometimes I observed some problems in connecting with the lecturer due to technical problems on both sides. Overall, I found the course suitable to my job career in nutrition and also for my academic path. Thank you.

I am from the nutrition background but even in my own subject, I learnt a lot of new things in terms of newer trends and techniques. Although I did not have much time to concentrate on the assignments or read thoroughly due to my own work pressures but we needed to plan lot of projects for assignments which gave an opportunity to learn how to write projects. I tried doing all on my own and it generated a lot of interest for me to write projects and papers. I am more confident of writing proposals. I need to understand biostatistics in much more detail but the course has definitely made me curious enough to read and practice it more and try to master it. I would definitely like to join a course in biostatistics to learn it better right from the beginning. This course definitely sensitizes the student but one has to do a lot of self-reading as well but overall, a very well structured program.
